ShapeShot ("we", "us") turns photos into 3D models. This policy explains what data we collect when you use the ShapeShot app and how we handle it.

1. Data we collect

• The photo you choose. Selecting the object happens on your device: when you tap an object, only that cut-out is uploaded, not the rest of your photo. In modes that use the whole picture (for example Drawing to Toy), or when the object can't be separated, the whole photo is uploaded.
• AI-prepared images. In Figurine and Drawing to Toy, an AI first redraws your subject as a figure or toy; we keep that image so you can see it while your model is being made.
• 3D models and files. The 3D models generated for you (GLB and USDZ files), their preview images, and any 3D-print files you export (STL or 3MF).
• Anonymous device identifier. A random ID created on your device to keep your credit balance and your models. We do not ask for your name, email or phone number.
• Purchase data. Records of in-app purchases. Payment is handled entirely by Apple; we receive transaction identifiers, never your payment details.
• Basic diagnostics. Minimal server logs needed to run the service.

2. Faces and people

• ShapeShot does not perform facial recognition and does not collect biometric data. We do not create faceprints or face templates, and we never use a face to identify, verify or track anyone.
• If your photo shows a person (for example in Figurine), the 3D model is a creative sculpture you asked for. It is not used for identification and is not shared with anyone else.
• Before processing, an automated content-safety check analyzes each uploaded image. It looks for explicit content and estimates whether any person shown may be a minor, only to block unsafe content. It does not identify anyone and does not keep any face data.

3. How we use your data

• To generate the 3D models you request, deliver your files, and manage your credits.
• To prevent abuse (content moderation, fraud prevention) and to comply with the law.
• We do not sell your data, do not show ads, do not track you across apps, and do not use your photos or models to train AI models.

4. Third-party processing

• fal.ai (United States) runs the AI models on our behalf, including Tencent's Hunyuan 3D (3D modeling) and Google's Gemini image models (figure and toy designs). Your uploaded image is transferred to the United States for this processing.
• Sightengine (European Union) performs the automated content-safety check.
• Cloudflare R2 stores your images and files; Railway (United States) hosts our servers.
• Apple processes payments.

These providers process data only to deliver the service and may not use it for other purposes.

5. Storage and retention

• Uploaded photos: deleted automatically after 7 days.
• AI-prepared images: deleted automatically after 30 days.
• 3D-print files (STL/3MF): deleted automatically after 7 days. You can export them again at any time.
• 3D models and their previews: kept so they stay in My Shapes, until you delete them or delete your data.
• Account records (anonymous ID, credit history, purchase records): kept while your account exists.

6. Deleting your data

• Delete a single model in the app: open it, then ⋯ → Delete.
• Delete everything: Settings → Delete my data immediately removes all your models, photos and exported files from our servers.
• Your anonymous device identity and credit balance are kept, so your purchases are preserved and the one-time welcome credits can't be claimed again. To request full erasure, email us.

7. Children

ShapeShot is not directed at children under 13. Drawing to Toy is meant for parents and guardians to use with their children's artwork. Our content-safety checks reject unsafe content involving minors.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR), you can ask to access, correct, export or delete your data, or object to its processing. Email luciteck@gmail.com and we'll respond within 30 days.

9. Changes

We will update this page when this policy changes, and we will highlight significant changes in the app.
